ILF lawyer Anton Zinchuk took part in the work of the annual business mission of the Czech Republic to Eastern Ukraine. The meeting with Czech businessmen and diplomats was hosted by the regional branch of the European Business Association and took place on June 15, 2010 in Kharkiv.
The Czech business delegation included the Consul General of the Czech Republic in Donetsk Antonin Murgash, government agents of Ostrava and Moravian-Silesian region, top managers of the leading Czech companies such as Ceska Exportni Banka (CEB), Promet Czech sro, Cegelec, OZO Ostrava, and AB engineering.
Businessmen discussed opportunities for cooperation between Ukrainian and Czech companies, reviewed main economic development trends in the CEE countries, and provided insights into strategic business development in the post-crisis era. Igor Matyushenko, Deputy Head of the Main Department of Foreign Economic Relations and European Integration of Kharkiv Regional State Administration, made a presentation of the economic potential of Kharkiv and also spoke on Euro 2012 preparation.
Anton Zinchuk commented that the Czech businessmen were quite enthusiastic to discuss challenges of doing business in Kharkiv, implementing joint business projects and drawing Czech investments to the region. He also noted that B2B connections between the two countries would significantly expand the possibilities of Ukrainian companies for entering new European markets.
