Legislation of Ukraine prescribes for a number of forms a company can be registered in. Among them are the following: joint-stock company which can be private or public, limited liability company, unlimited company, producer's cooperative, etc. Limited liability company and private enterprise are the most commonly used company forms for doing business in Ukraine. The difference between these forms is basically that the laws of Ukraine provide more detailed regulation for limited liability companies. In addition, there is a requirement as to the minimum amount of registered capital of a limited liability company. It must be not less than 100 minimum salaries. The minimum salary amount is annualy established by the Act of Ukraine "On State Budget". As to the private enterprises, there is no such a requirement.
