Mathias Schuke, who is the representative of the Alexander Schuke firm (Potsdam, Germany), arrived with colleagues in Kharkiv for adjusting the terms of the contract for installation of the organ in the building of the regional philharmonic society. On the first day of the visit the German delegation met with the head of Regional State Administration Arsen Avakov and spoke about the current state of affairs by showing the slides displaying the various points of manufacturing the new Kharkiv organ.
Today the German experts met with the internationally acclaimed organist Taras Baginets, which spoke as an expert, the representative of the philharmonic Oleg Orischenko for specification some issues on the design of the organ body, and the ILF lawyers: the senior partner Elena Kibenko and the lawyer Anton Zinchuk for discussing and accommodating questions on the support of the deal with the further signing of relevant documents.
When completed, tentatively in late May this year, the organ will be transported from Germany to Kharkov, where he will be installed in a specially built organ hall of the regional philharmonic society. According to experts’ forecast the installation and configuration of the organ, will take about another four months, and after that the firm-manufacturer "Alexander Schuke" will give the ready organ to the philharmonic.
According to Mathias Schuke, the new Kharkov organ will be the biggest in Ukraine, and would not be worse than the best organs in Europe and the United States.
For ILF the project of purchasing the organ for Kharkiv Regional Philharmonic is one of the most socially significant projects pro bono. Since late 2007, the ILF lawyers supported the signing by the German firm "Alexander Schuke" four contracts for purchasing and installing of the organ. The instrument"s cost is 1,5 million euros.
